This 20-mile wild and secluded set of trails is a great way to spend an afternoon riding. This area has some of the best grouse habitat in the county, so don’t be surprised if you hear the low rumble of a drumming male grouse from time to time. In addition to being a fantastic mountain biking trail, the Holy Cross Trail is also a popular trail for horseback riding. There are two trailheads. The southern trailhead is located about 1.5 miles east of Highway 13 on Holy Cross Road. The northern trailhead is located on Hicks Landing Road about 4 miles north of Solberg Lake County Park or about 5 miles south of Highway 70 on Hicks Landing Road.
