Located in the Chequamegon–Nicolet National Forest 12 miles east of Park Falls on Highway 182, you’ll find plenty of deep woods on the Newman Springs Trail as well as some magnificent views. This is a fairly easy ride through glaciated terrain ranging from upland ridges to lowland marshes, with scenic vistas of spring ponds, red pine plantations, northern hardwoods and white birch. A national forest parking fee is required. The daily fee can be paid at the trailhead. An annual sticker can be purchased at the Forest Service office on Highway 13 in Park Falls on weekdays.
This trail is closed annually from March 15 to May 1 during the spring thaw. Use of the trail during this time will cause damage to the trail surface.
