Bike through the heart of Wisconsin on the Pine Line Trail. The 26.2-mile Pine Line Trail with a crushed gravel surface runs atop an abandoned railroad bed, making it suitable for both touring and mountain bikes. You’ll find everything from storybook dairy farms to majestic stands of white pine along this historic route. Cross glimmering brooks and picturesque beaver ponds. See hawks soaring over the bogs and wetlands. Catch a glimpse of deer feeding in the fields at sunset. The northern trailhead, the town of Prentice, offers lodging, dining, parking and other services. Smaller communities along the trail offer limited services.
